A quick update - it went from 90 something to 50 something here in the space of 2 days. In lickity split time pumpkin displays started appearing in front of the supermarkets and folks are wandering around in jean jackets and shorts. Nice change. Lets see if it lasts. Austin lies on that invisible line where the competing gulf coast and midwest weather systems move back and forth a few times in the autumn and spring. We'll probably see 85-90 again before it cools down for the rest of the year.
I'm setting up Minoru's and Jimmy's tenors this coming week and Brett's concert, Henry's tenor and Steve's tenor are in finishing. Right now they are hanging by the bench, the first coats of Waterlox tung oil sealer drying. I'm aiming for delivery in a couple of weeks.
I made a start on Darryl's tenor, Warren's concert and Minoru's baritone this last week. I'm aiming for November delivery on these.
I've been getting quite a few inquiries recently regarding my 2010 build schedule and when i'm going to start accepting orders for 2010. I answered a couple today with quotes so for all practical purposes i'm now accepting orders for 2010 delivery. I'm hoping to find time next year for 6-8 custom ukuleles. I'll probably build several extras for sale from stock next year so if you're interested but don't want to commit to a deposit then check back here from time to time next year. You can find information about prices, available options etc
here.
Thanks for the click.
